At Tic Tocs we operate four rooms. Activities, routines and meal times are individual to each group.
From September 2015, we have started using a different system based on school cohorts, rather than age to determine which room children start in.
At Tic Tocs we use the child’s school start date to determine the room they will be based in, and they will stay in this room with their friends who will also all go to school at the same time.
There is one transition every year in September for each group of children and any new children who join the setting and will take places available according to their school cohort.
Our four rooms are:
Transitions to nursery, between groups and beyond the setting are all planned for with the child’s best interest in mind. We aim to involve everyone (parents, children, key person) in planning and achieving the best possible outcomes for the individual child when change occurs.
A separate sheet details information on the Early Years Foundation Stage, and the Early Years Entitlement (EYE) which children can access the term after their 3rd birthday.
If you are interested in your child starting nursery, please fill in the Registration form provided during a show around and get it back to us along with a £40 registration fee. We will then book in some settling in sessions for your little one before your start date. This will be an opportunity for us to get to know each other better, talk more about what we do in the rooms, make sure your child’s key person knows all about them and go through any questions or concerns you may have.
We look forward to hearing from you soon.
